Olives

It's hard to believe people actually like olives. I think they taste like fermented manure. However, my wife really likes them, and since I know SHE isn't crazy, I have to re-evaluate my feelings about everyone else who can stomach them.

One of those people is my daughter. She loves them so much that she doesn't know when to stop shoving them in her mouth. She just keeps going until she gags and has to spit half of them out.

Is she the only one? I don't think I've ever seen a kid love olives at such an early age.

I am with you. I HATE olives! Uck! At least you know where your daughter got it from though. That would be weird if both you and Krystal hated olives. Think about that...

I crave olives. I'm glad our daughter loves them, too.

my kids love olives. and the proper olive-eating etiquette dictates that one must stick them on the ends of their fingers before ingesting. i'm sure you know that.

i, too, am not a fan of olives.

I have a niece who, at about age 2, decided that her diet would consist of olives and vienna sausages exclusively. It was fun to watch my vegetarian sister pop open the vienna sausages can to feed them to her. Olives on one hand (every finger), sausages in the other.

She eventually got over it, and I'm sure your little girl will too. Until then, just remember that there are lots of things much worse than olives for her to be addicted to - molded meat from a can for one.

Olives are evil.
The end.

Okay they aren't.

And hey, the girls can enjoy their love for olives together and that's pretty cool :)
